Rachel Hooper is Creative Director of Walk on Air films, a Belfast production company specialising in emotionally compelling, access-based content for audio and TV. Her films have gone on to win Grierson, RTS, and BAFTA awards amongst others and often examine the NI conflict.

Rachel started her career as a journalist in the BBC Belfast newsroom in 1996, reporting and producing for the network UK audience. She then went on to run the BBC NI audio docs unit before moving into film and TV. Recent WOA credits include the critically acclaimed series Once Upon a Time in Northern Ireland, a co production with KEO films for BBC/ PBS and The Brighton Bomb a 10 x 15’ podcast for BBC Sounds . She is currently finishing a box set series for Sky documentaries.
